Our Story
Three ranges. Every kitchen.
Most pasta brands are built for one kind of cook. Cibo di Italia is built for the way real families eat — a household where one weeknight wants a quick tomato dinner, the next wants a hearty bake, and the person at the end of the table eats gluten-free without wanting to feel like a separate menu.
The promise
We make a pasta that earns its place on the family table. Cooks reliably. Holds its shape under sauce. Tastes good plain, with butter, with the most ambitious ragu, with whatever the night calls for. Nothing fancy. Nothing oversold. The kind of pantry staple that disappears off the shelf because it works.
That sounds like a low bar. It isn't. Reliable pasta is harder than it looks — the bite has to be even from minute eight to minute eleven, the shape can't collapse in a baked dish, the ridges have to grab sauce rather than fight it. We picked our specifications carefully, and we've held the line on them.
Three ranges — and what each one is for
Most pasta aisles ask you to choose between flavour and dietary need. We didn't want to ask that question. So we built three ranges that share the same cooking standard, and let the household pick by kitchen rather than by compromise.
Classic
The everyday workhorses. Macaroni, fusilli, penne rigate, conchiglie rigate. Made from durum wheat semolina. Four shapes that cover every kind of weeknight.
Whole Wheat
Whole-grain durum wheat, milled with the bran and germ in. Deeper colour, deeper flavour, more fibre per plate — for the kitchen that wants whole-grain goodness without losing the bite.
Gluten-Free
A high-protein chickpea, brown-rice and pea-protein blend — extruded with a textured surface so it cooks al dente and holds sauce like its wheat-based siblings. 16g of protein per 100g serving, for the gluten-free table that never wants to feel like it's missing out.
One brand on the shelf, three answers under the same roof. Whatever your kitchen is, there's a Cibo di Italia pasta that fits it.
Behind the brand: Bagason Group
Cibo di Italia is a brand of the Bagason Group, a UAE-based food trading and distribution company. Bagason Group manages brands, routes, and retailer relationships across the UAE market — which means Cibo di Italia benefits from distribution infrastructure, retailer knowledge, and supply-chain experience built across the broader food portfolio.
That's why this site exists. Most pasta brands talk to a generic global shopper. We're building Cibo di Italia for the family table in this country — the weeknight where dinner has to land in twenty minutes, the weekend where pasta gets baked under cheese, the iftar where the table goes quiet for the first bite, the lunchbox that needs to survive until 1pm.
Certification and quality standards
Our Gluten-Free range carries a certified gluten-free certification and is a Product of India — manufactured in a facility that meets the requirements for dedicated gluten-free production. The certification is printed on every Gluten-Free pack; the pack is the primary source of truth for allergen and facility statements, which we update as certifications are renewed.
The Classic and Whole Wheat ranges are made from durum wheat semolina and are not suitable for people with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance. Country of origin for all ranges is printed on each individual pack.
Across all three ranges, our specification requirements cover: cook time consistency (shapes must hit al dente within the printed window), sauce adhesion (surface texture is specified, not left to chance), and pack integrity. If a batch doesn't meet standard, it doesn't ship under this name.
